YEEZYFLUENCE: Kanye’s producing style is well known to implement a vast array of samples from a broad spectrum of musical styles. Although those out of tune of hip-hop criticize sampling as a form of “stealing music,” sampling often offers a refreshing rendition of sound from other talented artists. This can give music new life.
For example, many hip-hop listeners first discovered Daft Punk through Yeezy’s STRONGER.
YEEZYFLUENCE: Let’s take a moment to talk about how Kanye West influences each of us on an individual level. Besides helping run this blog with my fellow broYe, JC, I also run a photography blog called Junagraphy. Anyone who listens to Yeezy and goes through my work would be able to see the hints of Ye influences here and there. No doubt, the man’s aesthetic as a whole has had its influence on my art, my fashion, and even some of my personal philosophies. All I know is if I ever succeed in my own endeavors, I’d have to admit… YEEZY TAUGHT ME.
